This includes the planning, scheduling, and controlling of the build, test, and deployment of releases. Oversee the creation of all release artifacts and ensures that all ITD projects adhere to established IT Service Transition standards and procedures. Ensure that all project and release engagement rules are adhered to and that functionality is delivered through quality releases. This individual will be responsible for managing and releasing code through non-production and production environments. This role will manage the work items and releases from development to production. This role will continuously build, deploy, and update environments with new releases. The Release Manager responsibilities include ensuring requirements meet the product release deliverable schedule and work closely with Business Analysts/Product Owners and management to ensure deliverables are being met. The Release Manager will serve as a liaison between teams to assure ongoing changes to release are coordinated and governed in concert with stated business needs while mitigating risk to production and will work closely with the project manager throughout the lifecycle of the projects. Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) • 4+ years of extensive Release and Deployment management experience (solid understanding of ITIL principals preferred) • Two (2) years of full-time experience with source code version control system Team Foundation Server (TFS) • 4+ years of extensive Project management experience (solid understanding of Agile Methodology preferred) • ITIL Foundation Certification with focus on ITIL RCV (Release, Control, and Validation) desired but not required if in conjunction with multiple years of experience managing releases for complex enterprise wide applications. • Formal training in Project Management practices preferred • Recognized as an expert in the area of releaseand deployment management; applies a high degree of knowledge, principles, and practices to all projects managed. • Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills • Must be goal oriented and able to lead project teams and partners to deliver all release objectives on-time with a high standard for quality • Must have excellent business organizational skills • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively respond to team members, management, programmers, and partners. • Requires strong conceptual and planning skills. Multi-project experience at tracking, scheduling, coordinating, and managing of releases across various platforms • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines by applying strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Able to function independently with minimal direction/guidance. • Must have experience with Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
