The role is expected to maximize the Data Center Operations customer facing support model across the Enterprise as well as provides strategic direction and performs tactical implementation in accordance with Data Center Operations Program. Throughout their job responsibilities, this role promotes process adherence, standardization and helps drive team towards continuous improvement across Data Center facilities architecture. This includes, but is not limited to configuration of servers and switches, capacity planning and interpreting data points from multiple sources in a complex environment. This role will also install IT equipment within a data center environment and diagnose and repair network issues enterprise wide. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Keep up with industry technologies, identify and advocate solutions for continuous improvement or to meet business needs • Collaborate with internal groups and business units to meet data center support requirements and deliver business value • Identify data center operational risks and propose alternative solutions • Translate current and new business requirements into operational process • Translate project requirements and lead implementation services to other internal IT teams • Manage small to medium size projects, create project implementation plans, communicate and coordinate with internal and external resources as needed • Work with members of the Enterprise Technology Group team and the extended IT organization to implement and support numerous internal and customer facing SaaS applications • Perform routine production and non-production administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting as well as provide escalation level support to remote offices • Create technical documentation for infrastructure solutions, policies, and operating procedures • Work closely with product managers to understand product roadmaps, and recommend solutions to address future business requirements • Develop and maintain current and planned architectural documentation • Produce regular data center project status reports • Install low-voltage communication cables, communication cards and controllers Required Qualifications: Education: • High school diploma or equivalent • 2 years of technical, trade school, or college course in a technical field Job Related Experience: • 3+ years hands on experience as a Network Engineer or similar discipline in a data center operations environment • IT Hardware skills via education or experience in Data Center infrastructure, Network Engineering, ITIL, Saas, TCP/IP, VLANs, Switches, Routers Additional Skills/Knowledge: (Optional) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to completes individual tasks and deliverables within project timelines • Results driven individual who enjoys working in a fast paced and challenging environment • Capable of working independently with little supervision or direction as well as collaboratively with various internal teams, third-party vendors and business leaders • Excellent operations, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Work Environment: (If applicable) • Ability and willingness to work off shift hours at night or weekends during monthly maintenance windows   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
