This position will be responsible for working with IT and business partners to creative innovative uses of technology that will enable business outcomes and help Kaiser achieve its strategic goals. The position requires the use of consulting skills, significant understanding of the business processes and business objectives as well as the ability to have deep, often hands-on knowledge of the technology used when defining consumable and actionable architectures. More than just paper architectures the position will work with teams to prove out the architectures through proof of concepts. The position requires deep knowledge of defining and communicating target and reference architectures, and the ability to collaborate with business and IT stakeholders. It requires knowledge of current application development languages, integration, tooling and security. Essential Functions: • Consult with business and IT partners to understand business objectives and desired outcomes • Define target and reference architectures for strategic business initiatives • Create reference implementations for key architecture patterns o Implement proof of concepts for emerging technologies and business concepts • Define architecture patterns, guidelines and decision frameworks Basic Qualifications: • 7+ years of proven experience in IT epic architecture design and business application development • Excellent writing and oral communication skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders and technical teams • Strong communication, inter-personnel, influence and collaboration skills • Proven track record of business acumen and customer focus • Good strategic thinking and planning skills • Ability to quickly learn new technologies for proof of concepts • Specialized knowledge of two or more architecture domains, including business, application, data, infrastructure and security architectures • Design and development experience in: o User facing applications, including web and mobile applications o Design and implementation experience in SQL and NoSQL databases o Middleware, including Java/Microsoft application servers, o node.js o ESB and messaging infrastructure including Kafka and IBM Message Broker o API,microservices and web application programming o programming languages including JAVA, JavaScript and Python • Experience with cloud PaaS solutions such as Azure, AWS and IBM Cloud • Knowledge of security architecture design and implementation techniques, including authentications, authorization and encryption • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including agile methodologies • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (listed in order of importance): (The preferred qualifications will be used to further narrow the pool of candidates that meet all of the basic qualifications) • Experience in healthcare applications and domains: FHIR, HL7, EMR, biomed devices, clinical imaging, digital health, HIE, etc. • Experience with ITIL, ServiceNow, ITSM • Experience defining Analytics, ML and AI related architectures and designs • Masters degree in computer science or related discipline   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
