Assist in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems. Assist in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintains simple programs. Analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain installed systems and support users. Provide documentation to support system design, testing and training. Assist with the management of customer expectations and participate in team quality management initiatives. Primary Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities Assist and perform straightforward application design, configuration, development, testing and documentation to support business processes with minimal assistance from vendors or coworkers. Assist in management of customer expectations and assess customer satisfaction and confidence. Address basic customer issues in an effective and timely manner. Inform customers of changing risks and other challenges. Escalate customer issues as appropriate. Monitor assigned support incidents and service requests ensuring that deliverables and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Assist in conducting and documenting Root Cause Analysis for system outages and application issues. Provide onsite end-user support as needed (overnight travel may be required). Assist in monitoring the supportability, performance and availability of applications. Performs defined application maintenance. Assist with investigations into data/application irregularities and identify and resolve potential system problems. Understand the Business workflow and assist with developing plans to move the space forward with innovative ideas. Assist with building and maintaining the application knowledge base documentation. Assist in development of training plans and curriculum. Organize training sessions and trainers. Assist in delivering training to groups and individuals. Conduct training evaluation and document feedback. Develop and manage vendor business relationships as required: - Represents interests and requirements to vendor product and service groups. - Identifies service and quality issues regarding vendor services. Performs on call duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Required: Education – Completion of an Associates Degree with concentration in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare or other closely related field OR completion of high school or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in healthcare or information technology. Other skills/knowledge - Work related experience with MS Office: (Word and Excel) Preferred: Education – Completion of a Bachelors Degree with concentration in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare or other closely related field. Experience – 2 years experience with using information technology. Previous work related experience within healthcare industry. Physical & Mental Requirements and Working Conditions Uses keyboard, mouse, or other alternative input device. Works with others, must converse and be easily understood both verbally and in written form. Works in a stationary position for up to 4 hours at a time. Organizes and prioritizes own work, often multitasking. Could need to work works long and irregular hours. Will operate a motor vehicle to attend meetings in various locations.
