This position receives client specific technical information and is responsible for creating configurations based upon this information in a test environment to be used during certification. The Analyst performs scripted certifications with clients, providing technical support and guidance throughout the process. Upon completion of each certification, this role is also responsible for the successful implementation of the project. Certification Analysts have daily interaction with external clients as well as internal departments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the technical and business aspects of client and network certifications Manage all aspects of successful implementations of clients to the switch Prepare for certifications by thoroughly reviewing all technical information provided by the client or network Build configurations for each certification that can be used in the production environment upon project completion Perform scripted certifications Perform production database changes Monitor success of conversions and troubleshoot or escalate as necessary. Participate on project teams as a subject matter expert and manage certifications Review new project business and technical documentation in order to build corresponding certification methodologies and scripts as a result of project participation POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Some college/technical school or three years equivalent experience required, BS in Computer Science or related discipline strongly desired. Two years hands on experience in data processing Knowledge / experience with communication protocols/equipment preferred Experience with HP (Tandem) and UNIX systems strongly preferred Knowledge of payments processing, financial transaction processing, switching and authorization environments strongly preferred. Working knowledge of transaction simulation tools strongly preferred. Strong communications skills (written and verbal) to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical people. Must be adaptable, learn quickly and able to work independently and in a team environment. Strong multitasking skills and time management skills to support multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
