Job Description : It has an immediate need for a Business Intelligence (BI) Data Architect to work with a large client in the Great Cincinnati, OH Area. The Business Intelligence (BI) Data Architect works closely with information technology and business leaders/partners to define, develop and implement the data architecture for enterprise data. This includes working closely with business users to define data requirements, developing the data architecture design, creating logical data models, and implementing and optimizing the physical data models. The Cloud BI Architect will also assist in defining and documenting the technical architecture of the business intelligence platform, including the physical components and their functionality. This position requires experience and technical expertise in the structure, care, and feeding of a multi-zone data lake and cloud-based data warehouse. This position will have broad knowledge of data sources, data integration and data flow. The Cloud BI Architect is a champion for data analysis and logical data modeling and provides technical mentoring to other IT staff to support skills development. The Cloud BI Architect will play a critical role in the successful movement of current BI and analytics platforms to the new Cloud infrastructure, as well as ensuring ongoing support to ensure accuracy and value. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Management Developing and maintaining enterprise data strategies and roadmaps specifically utilizing Microsoft Azure Developing and maintaining guest/customer data management strategies, models and designs Work closely with business users to interpret the data needs of the business and translate those to logical / physical data models and data designs Proficient in the development and deployment of Microsoft Power BI solutions Detailed design and QA of data integration, including advanced SQL analysis Guide specification of target zone of the Data Lake and determination and specification of transformations between data tiers Guide and oversee data warehouse structures and platform using industry best practices Assist in development and implementation of plans for movement of on-premise EDW to a Azure cloud-based platforms like Data Bricks, Synapse, Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB Determine/implement best practices for sharing cloud-based data with external partners Partner with enterprise architecture team and application teams to determine best practices and solutions Document data management processes and mentor other IT staff to develop data analysis and Azure skills Monitor Cloud data usage to help optimize data consumption and cost Data Quality and Governance Contribute to the establishment of a Data Governance Practice. Participate in the creation of standards and processes that maintain the quality of data domains Conduct discovery, perform root cause analysis, and make recommendations for the remediation of data quality issues Design and recommend data policies and governance structures and control frameworks for the ongoing management of data Define, maintain and report on data quality metrics utilizing Power BI REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS: Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in creating logical and physical data models; demonstrated experience with relational and star schema data modeling Minimum of 3 plus years of experience with Cloud BI implementation and architecture Expertise using data modeling tools; excellent advanced SQL skills required Superior business analysis and problem-solving skills Knowledge of business intelligence best prac   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
