Job Description: • Responsible for leading the design and support of enterprise wide business intelligence applications and architecture. • Develop and evaluate application or architecture alternatives that solve the needs of the business area or agency, including API, data lake, and cloud architectures. • Study, develop, recommend, and support business intelligence development tools, standards, policies and procedures, and methodologies. • Works with enterprise wide business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. • Solves complex technical problems. • Creates testing methodology and criteria for a modernized analytics platform. • Develops standards, policies, and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of the modernized business intelligence tools and systems. • Researches new technology and develops business cases to support enterprise wide business intelligence solutions. • Leads technical team to develop proof of concepts for modernized architecture • Ability to communicate directly with IT senior management and program area stakeholders to review information about new or changed business intelligence tools, potential new technical advances, and impact on program areas. Expectation is to be able to independently create and facilitate presentations, including fielding questions. • Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
