Our client is seeking an IBM Websphere Lead Portal Architect for a 6 month contract with possible extensions or conversion. Job Description: In this role, successful candidates will be able to work with the client to: Effectively translate business requirements (e.g. business case, requirement specifications, non-functional requirement specifications and use case models into technical solutions, generally built upon the WebSphere Portal framework Develop solution architecture and work with client IT and business teams to build consensus Create macro and micro designs through working with IBM and client development teams Develop application framework and establish foundation and standards for code development Lead development team members to develop, test and deploy application components Develop sizing estimates and project plan Lead and manage design and delivery engagements at client locations . Support and mentor other technical team members Our Websphere Portal Architects display the following professional skills: - Team leadership and project management - Project execution using development methodologies such as waterfall and agile - Experience working in global delivery environment - Negotiation and structured problem determination skills Required: - At least 5 years experience in working as an IT Architect with portal or custom application architectures. - At least 3 years experience in designing and developing secured multi-channel solutions using WebSphere Portal (or similar portal) for delivery on browsers, smartphones, and tablets. - At least 3 years experience in enterprise portal development: JSR 286, J2EE, and external application integration/enablement through a portal framework. - At least 2 years experience in web application development and Java frameworks and standards including at least one of the following: Spring, Struts, Hibernate, JSP, JSF etc. - At least 2 years experience in Java development tools (for example - Rational Software Architect, Eclipse or Rational Application Developer, or IBM Web Experience Factory). - At least 1 year experience in developing with web technologies (including at least one of the following: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, or dojo). - At least 1 year experience in IBM Web Content Management (WCM) architecture and development. - At least 1 year experience in SOA and web services design, development and testing. - At least 1 year experience in ESB design and development experience (e.g. DataPower, WebSphere ESB, or IBM Integration Bus). - At least 1 year experience in working in a capacity that demonstrates understanding of industry standards (WSDL, SOAP, XML Schema, WS-*), SQL and DBMS platforms (e.g. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
