Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/Enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Systems Analysis- Ability to read and comprehend business and functional requirements to develop detailed design documents. Must have basic understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle. Additional Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic and problem solving and analytical skills Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements documentation 5+ years experience with RDBMS preferably Oracle and MSSQL with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills 3+ years experience working in both Unix and Windows development environments 3+ years development experience with Java 3+ years experience working in COGNOS Data Manager, Framework Manager & Reportnet environments Ensures the application interacts efficiently with interfacing applications and platforms Configures application connectivity (e.g. JDBC, ODBC, etc.) Design, develop and test database components including packages, stored procedures, index, types, etc Proficient in Physical/Logical Data modeling; Data Loading, export/import Strong database performance/optimization tuning skills dealing with large amounts of data within the database tier. Experience to apply software design, implementation, testing and debugging techniques. Performance Tuning. Optimization and tuning of relational database to identify redundancies.
