Application technical lead for Middleware /ESB team 100% hands on and responsible for working in conjunction, business analysts and IT teams to drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organizations architectural standards. General Responsibilities: Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Conduct software integration and external interface development. Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative practical solutions. Review business requirements, determine and develop technical specifications and software requirements that would serve as the build-to specification for development. Apply, as appropriate, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods. Production support maintenance and new development of the middleware systems and ESB components. Provide technical direction to development teams. Prepare reports, studies and documentation, deliver presentations, and participate in meetings. Interact with Application Support and coordinate any patch and code deployments with System Administration teams. Understand the various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage. Skills and Knowledge Required: o 8+ years of experience in application delivery including design and delivery of component and/or service-based systems/applications is required. o 3+ years of progressively responsible technical leadership experience is required. o 6+ years of experience in J2EE and SOA implementations is required. o 6+ years of experience in Web Services and Enterprise Service Bus technologies including production implementation of IBM WebSphere integration tools is required: WebSphere BPM, WebSphere ESB, DataPower, WebSphere WTX, WebSphere MQ. o 3+ years of knowledge in enterprise content management technologies is required. o Security technologies including security tools/protocols and LDAP repositories is required. o Knowledge of architecture frameworks and architecture modeling tools is required. o Experience in technology product evaluation/selection and making buy versus build recommendations, including both software and hardware technologies required.
