The selected candidate will assist permanent staff in the development and support of mainframe programs for the Unemployment Insurance Benefit Payment System. Programs must be thoroughly tested and accurate. Codes must be concise, efficient and easily maintainable and conform to clent IS Divisional standards. The individual will be required to: ? Develop a thorough knowledge of the application are ? Work independently with users in defining system requirements and solutions to service requests ? Efficiently troubleshoot program bugs and to assist in recovery procedures ? Create JCL and write COBOL Batch and CICS programs that access VSAM files ? Conduct analysis for new application development and on existing systems that may require significant changes Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Preferred: Preference will be given to candidates that have demonstrated experience in: ? IBM??s MQ Series Middleware (CICS and batch application use of) ? Endevor Source Management Application, ? Systemware print/output application, and Mainframe batch FTP processes. ?
