The primary role of this position is the support of SharePoint This role will provide application expertise, guidance, mentorship, and a support escalation point for our SharePoint environments. Additionally, this position will design portal access control, group and user level permissions, content exposure, and custom workflows. The position is responsible for the overall portal infrastructure and architecture, the testing and implementation of change requests and contributing to SharePoint related policies, procedures, and application integration and maintaining related documentation. In addition to SharePoint this role will provide secondary support for at a minimum the following systems: MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Team Foundation Server, Monarch, SQL Server Reporting Services and Edifecs in addition to custom written solutions. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The SA ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards. This individual will assist project teams and this will include the definition of needs, technical strategies, research, technical analysis and design; and the support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out of solutions. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development to production by performing operational activities within the project life-cycle. Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation. This person will work directly with customers, vendors, and with team members and management within SPS, Sutter Health and National Clients. Requirements include excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and strong inter-personal skills. Principal Accountabilities A. More than 5 years experience working with Microsoft SharePoint including, including SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online (Office365). Experience with the Microsoft BI stack is preferred B. Internet Information Server (IIS) experience C. Experience with PowerShell scripting of SharePoint maintenance/setup tasks D. SharePoint Framework experience writing and debugging custom scripting in SharePoint (jQuery/JavaScript) E. CSS/HTML/XML/XLS experience as it relates to SharePoint design F. Significant knowledge and understanding of information technology concepts including a strong knowledge of computer systems hardware and software. Experience with VMWare preferred. G. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage web technologies to drive efficiency improvements for SPS Business groups. Develop and present proposals to key stakeholders. H. Administers the day-to-day operations of SPS Systems by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Applies revisions to software. Works with vendors to assist support activities. I. When necessary, assist users with system problems J. Develops new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability. K. Performs troubleshooting as required. As such, leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. L. Establishes, maintains and manages users system accounts. Installs, modifies and maintains systems and utility software on server computer systems. Provides systems support related to other software.
