Ideal candidate should hold strong knowledge of programming and release automation methodologies. The engineer will build and upkeep continuous delivery pipelines from source control management to customer-facing production deployments. The Engineer will hold responsibility to troubleshoot and address technical issues by developing tools and automated technology production solutions. The engineer will be working closely with the product engineering team to ensure products are efficiently deployable, secure, available and scalable. A successful Release Engineer will be required to work closely with Developers, QA Analyst and Architects in an Agile development environment that will help automate scaling and management of server resources and implement code with zero-downtime deployments and to facilitate DevOps best practices. Primary Responsibilities Accelerate productivity by creating automated scripts, tools, utilities or code to address issues with new projects and existing operational procedures Manage Enterprise SCM including user and group management, branching model, pull-request support Support development team with continuous integration builds Support CI build farms for build and package, deployment, and infrastructure support Work with systems team on automating platform management Develop Release Automation frameworks for large scale projects from an end to end perspective including front end, middle tier services and back end data providers. Build and maintain deployment automation using continuous delivery pipelines Follow engineering best practices and provide technical mentorship to other team members Performing reviews of code and automation strategy Participate in Agile and build Continuous Delivery automation solutions for each product/project Liaisons between IT and Product Engineering team communicating system changes and mitigating possible issues Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 2+ years industry experience in Software Development and Application Build-Release Engineering Skills and Knowledge Proficient in Linux Environment with experience with modern release engineering practices Strong knowledge on Git-Stash or SVN administration especially GitHub Skilled in building CI and CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Artifactory, etc. Expertise in Continuous Delivery solutions using uDeploy and Chef Experience building Java applications for deployment to containers like Tomcat using Java/J2EE, Hibernate, JUnit, Spring Frameworks, Web Services etc. Understanding of web technologies (JSON, JavaScript, JQuery, SOAP, XML, HTML5 or similar technologies) a plus Administer SCM, CI and CD related server and nodes Well versed in automated configuration management tools using Chef, Puppet or Ansible etc.) Extensive familiarity with virtualization of at least one cloud platform (VMWare, OpenStack, Cloudstack, etc) Strong knowledge of database concepts using Oracle and PL SQL scripting Knowledge of good coding practices and improving code quality Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment strongly desired Demonstrates ability to lead technical discussions among software development engineers Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
