The Voice Developer has overall responsibility in the technical design process for Voice Platforms such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apples Siri. Leads and participates in the application technical design process and completes estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout tasks. The Voice Developer also communicates with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest of quality and in accordance to standards. The Voice Developer strives to continuously improve the software delivery processes and practices. They act as a role model and demonstrate the companys core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. Current tools and technologies include: JSON, Python, HTML, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, CSS, JMS, UML and have some SQL development experience with SQLServer, Informix and/or DB2 Essential Job Functions: Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large and/or architecturally significant Voice applications. Champion company standards and best practices. Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices. Build partnerships across the application, business and infrastructure teams. Develop programming specifications. Design, code and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC. Work with Product team to plan new features, gather requirements and propose solutions. Acquire and interpret business requirements, creates a functional specification, and determines the most efficient/appropriate technologies. Research and implement new interface development techniques. Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the Support Center, NOC, Infrastructure teams, and vendors as appropriate. Provide off-hours support (24 x 7) as required. Assist other personnel on assignments including mentoring or providing on-the-job training to more junior associates. Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes and practices. Working with teams across multiple time-zones/locations Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the box thinking. Requirements: The ideal candidate needs to possess: 3 - 5 years experience with JSON A solid understanding of mobile application development processes, from the layout/user interface to backend systems and API integrations. A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology. Ability to interact well in a team environment. Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients timelines and budgets. Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills, especially in emerging technologies Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
