As part of the team – • Support critical applications and ensure the stability of the applications by performing proactive maintenance activities, engage in automation activities, do root cause analysis and remediation. The role requires working knowledge of production support processes such as incident/change/problem management, call triaging, escalation procedures and such. The role will also demand the ability to write and maintain scripts to monitor system activity including application smoke test activities during pre and post production implementations. • We seek an experienced IT professional to join us as an application support engineer working in the Open Systems Operations group. Candidate must have 4+ years of software development and application support experience, configuring, and troubleshooting software applications, systems, databases and associated devices. In addition to delivering technically, the candidate should be self-motivated, and have excellent interpersonal communication skills Qualification/Skills needed. • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems. • Operational knowledge on Landloop Lenses, Splunk, Exception monitoring tools (such as Netcool), Service Now Ticketing Tool • Good understanding of Mangodb, JSON, Javascript, and Python • Strong working knowledge of one or more workflow and stream-processing solutions (Examples: Kafka, ESP) • A strong ability to understand applications and associated workflows, the services they provide in relation to the service levels and impacts. • Ability to work closely with the Application Support, Development, and engineering groups to implement corrective measures and offer solutions where applicable. • The ability to multi task, analyze and diagnose complex issues when working with various support groups. • A strong understanding in Incident, Problem and change management per the ITIL process. • Strong reporting and documentation skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
