Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex original code. Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. Leads projects, allocates and manages resources and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. 7+ years application development and implementation experience. This is a critical position within the Consumer Lending Technology area in support of our application monitoring tools. Our current strategy, in alignment with the Enterprise Monitoring Strategy, consists of four main tools for which our team is responsible: AppDynamics, DynaTrace, IntroScope, Splunk and TeaLeaf. This position requires extensive planning, implementation, administration and support of these tools as well as training for our CTO application teams. The majority of these tools run on Linux, so the applicant will need to have experience in administering Linux. We support both JAVA and .NET applications, so previous experience developing or supporting those environments is required. This position requires an individual that can take on efforts ranging from planning installations, scheduling with various teams, implementing, troubleshooting, general administration, and some training of new users of the tool for our application support teams. Our team is also responsible for extensive reporting which requires data from these tools, so this position will require research and implementation to automate the data gathering nightly for reporting purposes. This person will interact with application managers, support personnel, and developers on a regular basis, so communication skills are extremely important. This person will be required to schedule and perform maintenance, upgrades and the successful validation of any changes to the environment. Minimum Qualifications 7+ years of application development, support, configuration and implementation experience. 5 years of experience providing monitoring support for applications built on JAVA or .NET platforms. 3+ years of experience administering Linux. Must have complete understanding of universal monitoring tools and processes. Team player able to cross train and learn different monitoring tools and lines of business needs. Strong communication and customer service skills. Preferred Skills Complete technical understanding of any of these- application performance management AppDynamcis, DynaTrace, IntroScope. Previous experience administering or using any of the following tools: AppDynamics, DynaTrace, IntroScope, TeaLeaf, Optier, Splunk, HP monitoring suite of tools. Previous experience with UNIX shell scripting, Perl or Java is ideal.
