Building an audience platform in TV ecosystem that other partners can take advantage of and use our audience platform that we build. Fragmented audience in TV currently. Large # of TV users, but Comcast only knows their customers, Charter only knows theres etc... Help bring TV audience in 1 platform so them and partners can use this for media planning, targeting, knowing the impact of advertising Team Size: 20 people on team -14-15 engineer Seeking an Architect/ Tech Lead: Senior level to work on specific area of tech stack. Resource will help us with part of design, implementation and reviews of the system Peer to peer design/architecture support - Performance, availability, and scalability of the platform is key - Design/architecture - Mentoring other engineers - Coding (30-50% of time) - Review work of other engineers What a day to day looks like for this individual? Ramp up to understand systems, adding features/functionality Give person independent areas- design of some of the areas. Have a base architecture in place, adding new features, prototyping and implementing, potentially some code review and mentoring too. Tech Stack: - Key technologies - AWS, Java, Go, Kafka, Aerospike, terraform, Microservices/kubernetes We use Kafka for streaming. Aerospike as NoSQL DB. Kubernetes and microservices for services. Terraform for packing of the code. Plan to use block chain Required: AWS – must – security model, different instances, use a balance of EC2 instances. Not using just kinesis or dynamo Java - our core programming language Experience with any streaming technologies- Kafka or kinesis- must NoSQL database- Cassandra, aerospike, other Microservices, we use kubernetes (1-2 years with above technologies/implementation projects, plus 6-8+ overall years of engineering) Nice to have: Exposure to advertising technology system Cryptography and algorithms Peer to peer technology systems build Business Benefit of Investment: - Time to market and improve adoption rate - Delay in hiring full time position - Improve tech strength of the team Specific Project Stage/System Being Supported: - Product Adoption - Build solid tech foundation for scale and performance Key Deliverables: - Design/architecture - Mentoring other engineers - Coding (30-50% of time) - Review work of other engineers Additional Information: Security and Privacy is key and Ad-Tech domain knowledge will be helpful Duration: 6 months at least initially, but expanding our product to both US and Europe too.
