Specific Responsibilities • Using structured QA methodology, creates complex test cases, scripts and plans to support specific software testing objectives • Conducts internal and external specifications reviews for functionality and test-ability • Demonstrates strong level of understanding of complex IT systems, data integration and applications used at Williams-Sonoma • Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners • Demonstrates understanding and application of appropriate formal test design techniques • Executes tests and reviews test results to ensure operation meets business • Researches complex system and environment-related problems, documents and communicate findings • Defines, tracks and reports on quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status • Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs • Documents all problems and assists in their resolution • Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed • Anticipates risks and provides contingency solutions and timelines • Provide technical and project leadership and mentoring • Participate in meetings with other WSI groups to document best practices and create a knowledge base • Works independently on problems of diverse scope • Interfaces with IT Management regularly on project issues • Advanced proficiency with standard QA and project management tools such as defect tracking systems, test case management systems, automation tools and project scheduling and estimation tools • Advanced experience in estimating and planning complex projects • Adapts easily to new processes, tools and systems • Advanced experience and subject matter expertise in making decisions based on our purpose and values, finding balance, demonstrating good judgment, and thinking of the whole of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. • Advanced experience and subject matter expertise in giving and building trust, dealing with conflict, and encouraging diversity of thought • Provides guidance for the work performed by contract resources • Leads multiple projects, interacts with other project stakeholders • Assesses the quality of work and effectiveness of the agreement with contract resource arrangements • Actively shares through peer mentoring, shared resources and informal teachings • Teaches and mentors within team • Contributes and enforces best practices • Highly skilled and proficient in technical concepts required for specialized field • Uses that knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems • Leads testing projects, providing supervision to contract testers, managing the QA schedule and deliverables • Provides work leadership to others • Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
