The engineers primary responsibility is to architect and implement our Application Framework (libraries, samples, documentation, and features) for the Android platform. This framework will be used by internal and external teams for application development and will include integration into all of our Customer Engagement Platform SDK features to enable rapid mobile app creation, deployment and management. The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, experienced with Android development and has a strong track record of having deployed production code. Responsibilities: - Architect and implement Android Application Framework (libraries, samples, documentation) that interface with the Multiscreen as a Service Platform - Create prototypes that demonstrate value and functionality of emerging technologies - Create frameworks that can be used to rapidly build customer applications - Work with Product management to take detail story driven requirements and implement them using Agile Test Driven techniques - Work in an organized team oriented environment with shared responsibilities Qualifications: - Masters Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience - 7+ years of professional software development - 3+ years professional Android development experience using Java, Eclipse or Android Studio - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Strong technical leadership and guidance skills - Outstanding skills at interacting with people, both within the organization (from developers to senior management) and with customers/partners - Responsible, organized and hard working with excellent communication skills Standing Out: - SQLite Experience, working with databases locally on Android - Experience with information retrieval, network programming and/or developing large software systems - specifically web services / endpoints such as REST or SOAP - Experience with Fragments, Widgets, and/or extensible user interface elements across multiple density devices - Experience with GCM / push notification implementations - Experience with cloud delivery platforms, ideally Amazon - Experience doing Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI) and test automation - Experience with agile development processes - Open source software contributions - Track record of success in a start-up or high-growth environment Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive Salary/Bonus - Incentive stock options including early exercise provision - Full range of benefits, including 401K and medical, dental, and vision coverage Experis, a national premier IT staffing organization, believes in partnering and providing our clients with the best staffing services.
