Take development management responsibility of a core infrastructure development team (2-5 people) while also contributing as a hands-on developer in one of the following key areas: a. Ingestion of trade and position data into Hadoop from a variety of front office trading systems b. Transformation of trade data into one or more analytical representations c. Publication of trade data to a number of downstream consumers d. Querying of trade data from external consumers via REST service, or locally on the Hadoop cluster using tools such as HIVE and SOLR 2. Work with the overall Trade Store development manager to indentify opportunities for strategic improvements around trade store development, build consensus within the team on a solution, and ultimately deliver the solution. 3. Participate in the management of our production and test environments by completing critical works that arise on support. 4. Reducing technical debt through the suggestion and implementation of strategic platform improvements 5. Support external teams that expect to consume trade data through training on Hadoop technologies, development of POCs, and assistance with technical questions Basic qualifications for the VP Trade Store role include: 1. 8+ years of experience with Java server side development 2. 6+ years of experience working collaboratively on multi-person development teams 3. 4+ years of Investment Banking industry experience 4. 4+ years of experience working with front-office trade data 5. 2+ years of experience acting as a development manager of a team of at least 4 people 6. Experience working in an Agile-based development environment 7. Experience with automated integration testing strategies 8. Experience developing RESTful service 9. Experience working with external project stakeholders 10. Familiarity with Hadoop and Hadoop based tools including HBase, Flume, Spark, and SOLR 11. A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Preferred qualifications for the VP Trade Store role include: 1. Exprience with the following development tools: a. Spring Framework b. GIT c. TeamCity d.
