Write effective test scripts to automate testing and take ownership of end-to-end, system-level testing for various modules. Hands-on and automated testing of various software modules, triage issues, reproduce and help development team to identify root-cause of issues. Record the defects uncovered in the tests with enough details and utilize in post project reviews to improve the development and test processes. Work closely with several cross-functional teams in Verizon to ensure that product test requirements are met and product specifications are comprehensively covered. Adapt quickly to changes in priority and/or strategic direction. Manage multiple priorities effectively and regularly to meet project timelines. Clearly document and communicate very effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate strong attention-to-detail and excellent communication skills. Assist with automation of stress and performance testing. Requirements Strong knowledge of software testing principles methodologies, tools, and processes Experience in QA methods and practices in Agile environment 5+ years of proven working experience in testing complex web-based applications. 5+ years of experience preparing, documenting, and executing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts for IT projects. 5+ years of hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing; unit and integration testing; backend and frontend verification and test output analysis. 3+ years of Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as HP UFT with vbscript, Junit, Selenium. Experience with Atlassians Jira and HP ALM, SOAP UI, GIT Experience in data driven test to validate API calls in J2EE architecture both manually and using automation tools Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting. Working knowledge of standard querying tools, such as Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD; Must be self-motivated and able to meet aggressive deadlines Must be able to work closely with development team in planning, executing test cases and triaging issues. Strong system-level debugging and troubleshooting skills are required. Ability to work in an environment with aggressive schedules and changing requirements Strong mix of testing and software development skills is required.
