This role offers the opportunity to be part of a new Trade Processing Modernization Agile squad working on re-platforming an existing, highly efficient, high throughput transactional mainframe-based trade processing system. The new platform will be a Cloud based (On-prem PCF/PKS) low-latency, highly scalable trade processing streaming pipeline utilizing based in class architectural patterns and newest proven technology trends, geared towards high availability, recoverability, scalability and performance. Required Skills: Build high-throughput, multithreading low latency processes and microservices Develop applications that are highly scalable, and easy to maintain (Exposure to Cloud scalability is a plus) Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly preferable (container orchestration, startups optimization is very big plus) Exposure to Streaming messaging framework/pipelines like Kafka, Apache Spark Rest Web Services/APIs experience is required (oAuth2, JWT and exposure to Web Services Security is a plus) Java Batch, Spring Boot, Java 2EE Experience with any of the following messaging platforms: WebSphere MQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ. Experience with JMS. Desired Skills: Unit test Frameworks Knowledge of SQL (Either DB2 or Oracle). Exposure to NoSQL in-memory databases is a big plus. In-Memory database caching using any of the following (Gemfire, Redis, Aerospike) is a plus Working knowledge with Application/Web Servers like Tomcat, Websphere, Apache, NGINX Experience with JSON, YAML, exposure to Protobufs, Data structures, Maven, Git. Should be very good with Linux, Shell scripting.
