Preferred technical skills: o Hibernate or Java Persistence API (JPA), JAX-WS web services, JAXB XML binding, Ant, web security experience such as WS-Security, Grails, Quartz Scheduler, Maven. o Experience with real time inventory systems. o Experience with and knowledge of retail systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Works under minimal supervision. Develops complex and/or high risk applications. Designs and develops complex and high risk application interfaces. Researches and evaluates business systems of a more complex nature. Assesses the business and organizational implications of key technologies and recommends appropriate action. Guides the development team in overall application technology design activities. Leads the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, and data model design. Conducts code reviews. Oversees the development of technical design alternatives and their implications. Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs. Balance multiple priorities, multi-tasking as necessary. Adapt well to changes. Teamwork - Promotes, maintains and encourages a close working relationship and a team effort with all members of the IT Department and user departments involved in the work assignments.
