Job Description: The Solution Architecture / Delivery Lead of cloud operations will drive the technology roadmap and strategy working closely with the Optum product, consulting and delivery teams. The role requires both hands on development skills with cloud technology experience and delivery execution oversite of the team that will support cloud transformation initiatives and roadmap strategy. The candidate must have strong communication and technical acumen used to communicate in a matrixed environment and with diverse customer stakeholders. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as a Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect and subject matter expert in vetting application / solution design and security of new Azure capabilities and provide recommendations that meet customer needs • Responsible for defining cloud roadmap and leading proof of concepts on new technologies, adheres to industry and corporate cloud policy, provides recommendation of various patterns for deployment architecture • Define and enforce the compliance and the security requirements in building and managing a multi-tenant SaaS environment • Influence the team in using the best of bread CI/CD tools and frameworks for automating application provisioning, deployment and upgrades • Responsible for production cloud hosted customers and operation of these environments including data flows into the operating environment, software and security. • Ensure best practices and controls in place to monitor SLAs of the operating environment. • Organize, drive, build and communicate upgrade plans of software to both internal stakeholders and customers. • Ensure proper monitors and alerts are configured that actively keep uptime high, and production incidents low (Splunk, Datadog, New Relic) • Define and enforce the team on privacy and security compliance in accordance with healthcare standards, policies, and procedures (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII, PCI) • Participate in conducting periodic self-assessment and gap analysis related to information security controls and manage the remediation to correct the gaps. • Work closely with engineers to ensure new architecture and design follows cloud first approach. • Be a liaison between the application team and the enterprise architects to ensure Optums compliance and secure standards are implemented and managed in the cloud operating environment. • Provide financial reporting of operating expenses by client or tenant as appropriate for various stakeholder for billing. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training in the computer systems engineering field. • Expert Knowledge: 5+ years of responsible for Azure cloud production hosted application • Expert Knowledge: Working with DevOps staff on production hosted application • Demonstrated Expertise: Experience managing a multi-tenant SaaS environment. • Demonstrated Expertise: Experience with Azure IaaS, Scale sets, ARM templates, Azure automation • 3+ years experience with Visual Studio/C# and .Net applications • 3+ years experience with CI / CD and CM tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Puppet, Chef) • 3+ years experience with Kubernetes and general container technology • 3+ years experience with monitoring and alert tools (Splunk, Datadog). • 1-3 years experience in Azure using both the Azure Portal, Azure Command Line Interface (Azure CLI) • Working knowledge of MSSQL, including administration and performance tuning OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS • Experience managing a production Azure environment. • Experie   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
