Leads, mentors and/or provides guidance to less experienced SAS analysts, where applicable, including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues. May participate in the development of data/ database architectures and lead moderately complex projects. • Strong conceptual understanding of the context and business requirements; • Ability to perform data quality checks in a methodical manner to understand how to accurately utilize client data; • Develop detail-oriented, logical and documented plans for data manipulation to ensure accuracy and integrity of the results; • Proven capability of developing sophisticated SAS macro applications; • Ability to communicate results and methodology with the project team and clients; • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a consulting environment; • Minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields. Basic Qualifications Expert level programming skills using SAS as a programming language to meet the challenges of advanced data manipulation, complicated programming logic, and large data volumes is required; Minimum five years or equivalent experience of SAS programming using SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, SAS/SQL, SAS/STAT SAS/HTML, and SAS/GRAPH in a data intense environment; In addition familiar with UNIX scripts.
