Software Developer / Architect The Utah Department of Public safety is seeking a highly experienced and motivated architect level software developer to build out two software systems for the Utah Department of Public Safety. Due to federal requirements of the systems this individual will have access to, only candidates that are U.S. Citizens will be considered. The successful candidate must possess the following minimum mandatory skillsets: - 5 years recent and continuous experience with Java - 5 years recent and continuous experience with GWT - 5 years recent and continuous experience with Hibernate - 5 years recent and continuous experience with Web Services In addition, experience with the following technologies are preferred: - Web application development - Spring - Eclipse - WebLogic - Oracle database - SQL - Subversion The candidate must also be able to communicate clearly both orally and in written form. It is also helpful if the candidate has domain expertise with criminal justice type systems. This position will be responsible for implementing two web-based systems for the Utah Department of Public Safety: - Use of Force System: this system will be integrated within the existing Utah Criminal Justice Information System to collect data and report statistics on use of force by law enforcement. - Sexual Assault Kit Tracking System: this system will be built from the ground up to track inventory and status of sexual assault kits. Both systems will be built leveraging the existing technologies already in-use by the Utah Department of Public Safety: Java, GWT, Hibernate, Spring, and Web Services. This position will be involved with analysis, design, and will do 85% of the programming on these systems. So not only must they be architect level, they must be hands on and able to accomplish the project with minimal supervision. Valid Bids must include - a valid RTR (Right to Represent), the resources resume and a completed MMR (Minimum Requirements) Scoring sheet.
