The individual will be working on the J.P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Plan Sponsor Portal application. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining multiple J2EE applications for the externally facing web application that caters to plan sponsors and client advisors. As an Agile Java Developer you will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle: requirements definition, development, and implementation in production environments. This position is very hands-on and requires a strong ability to adapt to challenging problems and an intense desire to work as part of a cohesive team. All team members are expected to keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and frameworks and to display industry competitive skills and techniques. Roles and Responsibilities:Planning/Business Strategy Partnering with the business on strategic initiatives. Partnering with peers and collaborating with other technical leaders in the firm, within and outside of RPS. Thoroughly understand our business drivers and how sponsors, advisors and internal users utilize the portal. Provide thought leadership to further vision of the portal. Align team goals with those of Retirement Plan Services IT & Business. Execution Looking for opportunities to innovate, gain efficiencies and evolve towards target state. Consistently deliver high quality, stable code that aligns with core vision. Integrate innovative technologies within existing portal. Development and implementation of both project based and business as usual requests.
