Description: We have an excellent opportunity for a senior systems engineer with Web Services/API and Messaging expertise to design scalable and flexible fault-tolerant applications utilizing a broad range of technology solutions to handle high-demand data requests. The candidate should be well versed with Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), Messaging, Real Time Data Streaming, Micro Servies based architecture, Cloud enablement, and In memory caching. • Define architectural approach and design of complex applications including Web Services/API and Messaging solutions, Application Architecture, Technology selection, design configuration, and definition of solution alternatives to ensure system design meets functional and non-functional requirements • Lead and/or contribute to new technology or product assessments and proof of concepts to include definition scope, requirements, success criteria, documenting standards and guidelines for usage and leading technology adoption • Ensure designs align with Enterprise Application Security Program requirements • Conduct architecture assessments to ensure design aligns with the planned project scope and adherence to approved enterprise and Enterprise Core Services (ECS) architectural principles, patterns, and standards • Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, license, development, and support • Work with business and technical leaders, sponsors, and analysts on problem understanding, requirements discovery, analyze complex business requirements, data analysis and modeling, designs and writes functional and technical specifications • Acts as a lead Web Services/API and JMS/MQ Series Messaging developer • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to less experienced team members Required Skills: 10+ years of application development and implementation experience 7+ years of Java experience including technologies such as Spring and JSON 7+ years of Java Messaging Service (JMS) experience 5+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services 5+ years of Oracle DB experience such as Oracle Exadata 5+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience 2+ years of caching development/implementation experience such as Oracle Coherence Cache Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Experience leveraging Agile methodology Desired Qualifications 5+ years working with an ESB tool (e.g., Apache Camel, Weblogic, etc) focusing on simple and complex orchestration. 5+ years of working with Customer Data in a financial services firm 5+ years of Apache Kafka experience 5+ years of BAR tools experience 5+ years of working with microservices technology 5+ years of enterprise data management experience 2+ year of Big Data experience Ability to indentify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause and provide swift/thorough resolution Development and design experience with ETL technologies such as Ab Initio and Informatica Powercenter Ability to merge current and emerging technologies to suggest scalable and flexible solutions   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
