The position is for an advanced JAVA Application Developer who has very strong experience developing and implementing web applications. The candidate will be responsible for building web applications based on the established FRB system architecture and will be involved in the entire project life cycle (requirements gathering, development, deployment and maintenance). Responsibilities: • Participate in the analysis and design of applications with the System Architect and Business Users (including business model, security model and Business components); • Translate business model and user requirements into software specifications; • Develop functions and application components in Java on Websphere platform; • Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code; • Develop documentation artifacts; • Support testing (Functional, Performance, Access controls); • Production support during weekend/off-hours work, when required Required Skills: • At least four years of working experience with JAVA, Spring, Framework, JSPs, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML; • Advanced SQL. Ability to construct and optimize complex queries. • Proven working knowledge of the Spring Web application framework, preferably version 3 or higher; • Strong Object-Oriented analysis and design skills including requirements analysis, OO design patterns, and UML; • Experience working with Jasper, JAXB, JQuery, Subversion, Maven, JUNIT, SQL Server, and Websphere 6.1 or higher. • Strong multi tasking and collaboration skills; • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills; • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills; • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously and produce high quality products; • Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, understand complex topics and arrive at sound analysis and judgment Critical Skills: JAVA, Spring Framework, JQuery, JUNIT, and Advanced SQL skills Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of Maven, Subversion, Jasper, JAXB   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
