The Applications Architect helps the Programmers establish a clear understanding of the business functional requirements and either creates the functional designs to meet the requirements or reviews and approves the designs written by the Programmers. The Applications Architect must understand all aspects of their specific application(s), and the underlying business process. Required Skills: * Extensive Experience programming with Java * Ability to work in a team environment and experience with Microsoft Office products. * Ability to transform business requirements through functional/technical analysis into technical specifications and design; * Ability to build application programs based on technical specifications, test and implement systems * Ability to Support the SDLC process through post-implementation support * Ability to perform Web/SQL development tasks relating to the support, maintenance, and implementation of new and existing applications. * Good verbal & written communication. Ability to logically analyze complex processes & programs. * Ability to understand business processes & to be customer focused. Experience working in both traditional and agile development environments * Demonstrated ability to perform development tasks in the above areas is required. * Demonstrated experience developing complex transactional applications using role-based security management. * Demonstrated experience designing and developing in-system reports that are both dynamic and drillable * Experience developing database objects and queries used within a Java framework application * Experience developing SOA-based, work-flow driven, applications using web service to interact with other systems * Experience in a system architect role where the system used Java and Oracle Database * Experience in a system architect role where the system used Oracle Stack including Apache, OPA, OIM, and SOA Suite Lead developer experience.
