A successful candidate will contribute to and augment the Chicago EUC development teams ongoing effort to introduce R and RStudios Shiny to: Build dynamic web based reporting platforms. Use machine learning to identify trends in the underlying data. Key Accountabilities: Develop custom analytics and data visualization applications to facilitate the work of the Chicago based BP energy analysts. Work with the Front Office EUC development team to implement scalable cloud-enabled workflows to disseminate intelligent reports to the IST analytics community. Provide documentation and user support allowing energy analysts to access and re-use the tools. Establish and maintain standards for structured software & systems engineering. Essential Criteria & Qualifications Essential Technical: Advanced skills in R. Experience in developing computing tools for Analytics. Working knowledge of RStudio/Shiny. Experience in developing web services for Analytics applications, including UI design for data exploration and visualization. Development experience in Amazon AWS. Hands-on DevOps experience in a Unix/Linux environment. Agile selection and prioritization of tasks. Ability to effectively translate and convey expertise across domains. Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills, both written and verbal. Collaborative approach to resolving problems. Preferred Machine learning and optimization methods.
