The selected candidate will be required to perform hands-on programing and testing of Java and .NET code and cryptographic libraries and drivers (such as PGCrypto and ADO.NET) in the Amazon AWS EC2 compute and S3 storage clouds, using databases in AWS RDS (Relational Database Service), AWS KMS, AWS CloudHSM, AWS Secrets Manager. She/he will be required to design and develop programs that can test encryption functionality of relational (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.) and NoSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.), flat files and data elements. Will participate in interactions with AWS and encryption technology vendors to obtain detailed technical information (if required) and ensure that technical obstacles are overcome so as to be compliant with the application data encryption objectives and security requirements of Wells Fargo. Will coordinate with the vendor support team(s) to ensure issues impacting Wells Fargo are resolved quickly and effectively. Will participate in interactions with technical, engineering and non-technical partners across the Enterprise for the implementation of encryption technologies listed above. May have to participate in on-call after hours support for applications that are deployed with data encryption technologies on the AWS cloud platform. Required Skill Set/Experience: 7+ years of programming with Java in a Linux environment using Red Hat Linux and/or leading Linux distributions such as Suse and Ubuntu and UNIX Experience working with JavaScript and JQuery 1+ years of cloud web development experience specific to cloud based technologies 5+ years of programming experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or Oracle, NoSQL, as well as designing and implementing relational schema 3+ years of programming experience with Microsoft SQL Server as well as designing and implementing relational schema 1+ years of programming experience with NoSQL databases: DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra etc. Experience with programming in, and supporting, applications in Amazon AWS EC2 and S3 clouds using relational and NoSQL databases Experience with, or strong conceptual understanding of, encryption technologies and/or infrastructure Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities Must be organized and have rigorous attention to detail Must have experience with, and be willing to produce, good documentation to describe technical matters related to programming.
