The candidate selected will help deliver a rich, browser based UI. Were looking for a talented developer that is proficient in the skillsets/technologies that we will employ as we continue to improve our customer-facing web initiatives. Requirements: Good knowledge of JavaScript, JavaScript design patterns, JavaScript MV* concepts, testing, debugging, and documentation. Good knowledge of HTML 4 and HTML 5. Need not have used all HTML 5 features, but should possess a working knowledge of their uses and benefits. Extensive knowledge of CSS 2 and CSS 3, including working with existing style sheets and creating entirely new ones, according to CSS best practices. An eye for good web design. Need not be a UX designer, but should have an eye for what constitutes pleasing (or otherwise!), user-centric UI design. Working knowledge of JSP. Should at least be able to intelligently read JSP and UI layer Java code (Spring MVC), in order to liaise with back-end developers about data flow both to and from the pages. Java development experience is a big plus. Excellent working knowledge of AJAX, including XML and JSON parsing. Intimate familiarity with developing IE versions 8 and up, Firefox, and Chrome browsers, including cross-browser compatibility issues, and cross-browser testing tools. Good working knowledge of responsive design, including both greenfield development and assisting with applying to existing sites. Experience with mobile web development especially Android and iOS. App development experience is a plus. Responsibilities: Assists in product design tasks of a mid-level complexity which may require extensive research, analysis, and documentation. Works under minimal supervision on mid-level complex programming tasks. Provides analysis of problems, recommends, and implements solutions. Prepares program specifications and develops prototypes as needed. Participates in client interactions and business partner discussions, to develop system solutions to business problems. Collaborates within a team and the ability to develop on multiple efforts with multiple developers. Possesses strong organization and communication skills (verbal/written). Has the ability to work effectively in a multi-location team environment. Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software. Recommends improvements to established processes, develops implementation plans, and assists in rollout. Works within established team processes, design, and coding standards. Takes responsiblity for the quality of the design and code produced. Is adept at troubleshooting and problem resolution of critical issues that may involve many systems and platforms, within a complex infrastructure.
