JOB DESCRIPTION: Sr JAVA Developer - Clarity Experience

CITIZENSHIP: US Citizen preferred; will consider Green Card

DESCRIPTION OF NEED:
The Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) provides retirement benefits and management for the State of Oregon. The Oregon PERS project completed the warranty work in May 2014 so no other HP employees are currently working on this project. The Systems Developer needs to have strong experience and knowledge in retirement systems. The Systems Developer will interact directly with client and the software delivery organization. Responsibilities include develop technical designs, specifications and coding that solves the business requirements described by the clients.

REQUIRED SKILLS: MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED
Knowledge of jClarity benefit payments and batch processing modules is highly desirable
Experienced in developing applications using JAVA/J2EE programming language
Reviewing technical designs and specifications for completeness and conformance to quality standards
Working knowledge of jClarety and the PERS Business Rules
Experience developing technical designs in consultation with other technical experts or developers
Experience with the following design and programming components and technologies:
o J2EE/Java
o Struts/Spring Framework
o EJB and JDBC
o JSP and Servelets
o Hibernate
o JavaScript
o Active Directory or LDAP
o JMS, Web Services, XML, SOAP
o Logging services such as Log4J
Experience with at least one of the following web application servers:
o IBM WebSphere (preferred)
o Oracle Weblogic
o Apache JBoss
Demonstrated experience with performing extensive analysis and design working on projects of all sizes that require exposure to all aspects of the project life cycle and creating and maintaining documentation in conformance with established standards.
Evaluate user requests for new programs or modified program components to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system and computer capabilities
Experience working with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts preferably Agile and/or RUP
Experienced in troubleshooting, problem solving and debugging
Experience in an industry domain.
