Technical lead role in development and support of a shared service (caching) including implementation needs and integration with business application. Participate and contribute in the software development life cycle to create, upgrade, and modify the software service and platform. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS Participate with team of technical staff and project managers or agile practitioners to determine systems requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development project. Assess and develop high level design requirements for project and communicate in writing or in meetings with development team. Assess detailed specifications against design requirements. Review coding done to application upgrade, extension, or other code development. Analyze application for data integrity issues. Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results. Serve as project lead or lead technical staff in course of application development project May use high end development tools to assist or facilitate development process. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Provide software development and operational maintenance of distributed In-Memory-Data-Grid (IMDG) platform including Java-based/Spring application environment. (e.g. GemFire, AWS Elasticache (Redis/MemcacheD), Terracotta, MongoDB, Coherence, Hazelcast, Ignite/GridGain or similar technologies) Knowledge and experience with cloud architecture and solutions using AWS web services and Amazon market place products is a plus. The analysis, design, program code, test, deployment and implementation of transaction and data management solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to define and present complex design ideas to various stakeholders including development team and operations team. Hands-on experience working on various technologies such as Spring, Spring STS, Eclipse, Hibernate, JDBC, JPA, Tomcat, Spring Data, RESTful Architectures, XML, XSLT, HTML, JSON, J2EE, JavaScript, SOA/ESB, JMS, MQ Series, Tibco EMS, Object Oriented data and asynchronous integration design patterns. Experience using one or more testing frameworks, integration and automation tools like Junit, Mockito, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, SVN. Experience in writing OQL or SQL Statements for database queries/transactions using RDBMS database like Oracle DB, MySQL, MS SQL, etc. Experience in shell scripting like PERL, Shell and Groovy on UNIX/Linux/Java environment, especially SUSE Linux. Experience implementing complex architectures for large transaction volumes, and distributed data design patterns to ensure low latency access, high availability, reliability, and consistency.
