Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.: 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis and/or design. Experience developing preferred but working knowledge of software development and support is required (server, database, operating systems, etc). Expertise of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Word and Access required. Critical Skills for success - Good balance between patience and assertiveness – will work with a lot of teams that have conflicting priorities - Strong ability to work independently with disbursed technology team across multiple time zones. Will be involved in a lot of meetings to stay engaged in multiple projects - Be assertive and diligent in the follow-up of any outstanding items. - Work to understand new processes and tools as they are introduced to the team and/or enterprise. - Have attention to detail and willingness to look below the surface to gain full understanding - be able to facilitate meetings with multiple stakeholder groups and be able to keep participants focused on meeting purpose - Be self-motivated - Be capable of managing and prioritizing multiple efforts in parallel - Must be able to identify and resolve inter-dependencies, conflicts, and issues with multiple efforts Job function – Patching / Production Support - Coordinates work involved with all patching, upgrade, and remediation efforts. This includes determining any probable application impact, maintaining spreadsheets to track progress, ensure all work is scheduled in a natural environment order, ensure validation is completed promptly by the required groups, and following up on any issues raised by the validators. Work with the technology team and support groups to reschedule any conflicts. - Review and/or approve all PAC2000 (REmedy) change requests that contain assets related to our application and/or servers. This includes following up with support teams or CR submitter for additional understanding if needed, updating the team CR calendar, creating JIRA validation tech task tickets, and coordinating business or WQA validation if required. - Review all internal PAC2000 changes requests submitted by the team for completeness and accuracy before approving. Work with the team to make any needed updates. - Act as the JIRA project administrator for the applications we support. This would include timely transitioning of Request for Service items through the workflow, submitting new user requests, adding entries for future releases so that Request For Service issues can be bundled, and providing guidance to the technical and business teams in the use of JIRA. Job function: - Projects: - Participate in project and application release meetings and ensure that SDLC and change control processes are being followed. - Ensure various enterprise compliance items are completed. These include but are not limited to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) maintenance activities, Wholesale Application Management (WAM) updates and validation, Service Level Agreement (SLA) review and updates, Service Account Repository (SAR) updates, and security plan review and updates. - Maintains sharepoint site for use by the technology team to provide awareness of details and timing of all initiatives and change requests affecting the applications. - Support the technology manager by regularly communicating updates and concerns on any pending items.
