Maintains a data/voice drop record system and must assist on problems in the South western region of Bristol and Salem Virginia. Candiate will be centrally located in the region and frequently travel to various VDOT offices around the area of Salem and Bristol Districts for scheduled tasks. Candidate should have 12+ years experience in the field. Required Skills: * Install structured cabling systems in fiber (multi-mode, single-mode, ribbon) / Copper (Cat.5E, Cat.6, Cat.6E) and Coax * Ability to identify and correct existing substandard infrastructure * Install new infrastructure for Data/Voice systems * Engineer, test and certifies all LAN/WAN, fiber and copper connections * Maintains records of all data/voice drops, prints of data/voice installations * Oversee contractor services for network installations Desired Skills: * Experience with Fluke Fusion Splicer (fiber) along with Fluke testing equipment, or similar equipment   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
