We need a very experienced software distribution technician to design and implement the tools and processes for distributing and patching software to our 400 PCs. We have an immediate project to revamp this entire process, including selecting some of the tool kit. Must be dedicated to customer service, reliability, and security. Must be able to create, follow, and train others in a repeatable process from inception, to testing, to user communication , and roll out of a change. We do need someone with experience in more than just software distribution - we are too small of an IT shop for someone who had done nothing but software packaging. The successful candidate will also be knowledgeable in LDAP, hardware, networking, servers, and common productivity software such as email, Office, etc. Supports and installs software applications, infrastructure and software development tools. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis of software. Software Engineer capabilities with 8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
