Description: Organization Overview: Wireless Technology is an engineering / proof of concept entity that exists within Charter to build technical solutions in a lab environment to support Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and other next generation wireless services. NOTES: -This is a contract through the EOY to extend into 2020 and possible to convert perm eventually. This is a LONG TERM need for the team. Ideally Chris would like to find someone hes able to convert but that could be 1 year out still. -Looking for a candidate with a networking and test tools (test & load, use case execution & validation) background. Ideally looking for candidates with Wi-Fi/Wireless experience that would be helpful but not required. Really needs someone more savvy on the networking side where they can learn the Spirent/Landslide platform they can learn. Candidates must have some sort of network test tool experience (IP-based test and load experience within routing and switching). -Will be a 50/50 split between deploying, configuring and monitoring network equipment and will also be the SME/owner of the Landslide platform so if they have a SW update, this resource will be coordinating all the SW groups across the stack. If the candidate has any sort of scripting experience, they can leverage that for automation of test cases. -This resource will be wearing multiple hats and must be willing to learn new skills. -Contractor will be sitting at CTEC2 (Englewood, CO) in the Wireless Technology Lab. Their day-to-day will include hands-on network troubleshooting, enabling new services, deploying new equipment and some physical cable moves. -Landslide platform allows Charter to emulate phones, radios, LTE, etc. so they can do actual Stress & Load against their deployed solutions. in addition to network testing. Will be looking for this resource to wear multiple hats and the split between network troubleshooting / deployments and testing will be roughly 50/50. JOB DESCRIPTON: Spirent Landslide Platform Ownership Monitor Landslide platform for operational uptime Configure new Landslide devices when added to the network Assist teams to build Spirent Landslide test cases to enable functional testing and / or scale testing Assist teams to open support trouble tickets to Spirent and solve to resolution Wireless 4G/5G LTE Test Case Development Build 4G/5G LTE test cases to validate evolved packet core design Automate test cases for 4G/5G LTE evolved packet core regression testing Troubleshoot test cases for 4G/5G LTE evolved packet core if they are discovered to not perform to initial expectations Network Engineering Maintain network configuration parameters on Spirent Landslide infrastructure in order for it to successfully communicate with “Devices Under Test” Document Spirent Landslide network topology in an on-going basis in predefined documentation repositories (e.g Atlassian Confluence).
