The team handles middleware operations support for the client. The position is expected to contribute where appropriate to the definition of best practices as well as creating and contributing to client accelerators. Responsibilities: The Administrator will be expected to support, configure, and troubleshoot application servers (WebSphere / Tomcat / JBoss / WebLogic) and web servers (IHS / Apache / IIS) for compliance to the established SLAs (this is a 7 day a week, 24x7 service). Patching – implementation of vendor provided fixes for defects, performance enhancements or security related issues. Secure Configuration review and implementation. Review reported findings and adjust configurations back into client secure compliance. Vulnerability (CVE) assessment and remediation. Follow proper change controls for testing, implementation and validation for all Middleware products changes/modifications and complete work related to Known Errors, Problem tickets, Problem tasks, Root Cause Analysis research and resolution. Required Skills: Must possess thought leadership in the identified technologies including but not limited to sharing of industry trends, educating leadership and advancing of team skill sets. Experience supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting application servers (WebSphere/Tomcat/JBoss/WebLogic) and web servers (IHS/Apache/IIS). Able to coordinate and communicate with other teams, for example; application support/development, infrastructure teams, project managers, and support teams to resolve incidents or to complete work requests. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Experience with both Linux/UNIX Systems and Windows Systems in a large scale corporate environment to administer the installed Middleware products regardless of platform. Fundamental understanding of the following concepts: J2EE, Secure Sockets Layers, Secure Certificates, Load Balancing, Application / JVM Tuning, and multi-tiered architectures. Follow Enterprise IT Security best practices – have a clear understanding of security concepts and best practices and the implementation within the Middleware environments.
