Primary responsibility will be executing simulation and performance support for after treatment design and validation. Typical Day: This position will be located on-site at Client Tech Center in Mossville, IL. The position will be co-located with a core group of ~ 5 engineers and will interact with a global cross functional team to complete design projects. Job activities will include performing simulation tasks, validating the design through bench test, provide support to production facility, working with suppliers on design for manufactur ability, preparing drawings for release, participating in project meetings, maintaining existing product designs, solving product reliability problems, continually improving existing products for better reliability and cost. (Working remotely during Covid per Client policy.) Education Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Chemical engineering required. (Masters or Doctorate degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering is preferred.) • Course work in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics is required. Formal training in CFD is desired. • At least 2-3yrs experience in CFD simulation is required. (Experience in ANSYS FLUENT is preferred) • At least 1-2yr industrial experience supporting product development is preferred. Technical Skills: • Proficient in ANSYS FLUENT and a meshing tool • Familiar with Matlab and Simulink (desired) • Analytical and problem solving capability • Ideal candidate will have experience with Aftertreatment systems Soft Skills: • Team player with the ability to work with a diverse global team • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Well organized with an attention to detail   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
