Here are the details: Position: Business Analyst Location: Norwalk, CT, Jersey City, NJ, or NYC Salary: Negotiable We are looking for a Senior Specialist Business Analyst consultant who can work in a deadline-driven environment. You will be responsible for defining requirements and designing solutions using Agile methodology for some of the banks most important investment manager clients in the Asset Servicing space. You will consult with stakeholders to analyze, define, challenge, and prioritize business requirements, functional specifications, and operational architecture for a functional work stream within a highly complex, strategic, global program. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Develops business analysis using JIRA to drive requirements and solutions Analyzes complex client requirements and develop high level solutions in collaboration with engineering and product teams Analyzes interfaces between systems, internal and external. Knowledge of system interface protocols is helpful. Takes ownership of BDD scenarios for the product and support test driven development. This requires a good understanding of Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development including creation of test data - inputs for various scenarios along with expected outputs Responsible for working with Scrum Masters and Service/Business Owners in feature prioritization Defines requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria Participates in the end-to-end project delivery process, from requirements gathering, working closely with Engineering, through testing and post-implementation issue resolution Determine and suggest features and enhancements to existing offerings Provides guidance to other junior business analysts and product team members as needed Knowledge of logical data models to be able to analyze and enhance existing canonical structures and schema Understanding of various asset classes and associated attributes Continuously improves processes and solutions to drive down maintenance cost and improve stability of service. Reviews requirements prior to release to ensure adherence to best practices. Solving time-sensitive issues in a complex business systems environment (supporting Front Office deliverables and SLAs) Provide well thought-out and lasting solutions that are documented and supportable Operating as a good citizen in a robust agile development delivery framework Provide well thought-out and lasting solutions that are documented and supportable Must Haves: Under-graduate level computing/math/business based qualification or equivalent experience 7+ years in Middle Office with buy and sell side experience High Threshold level understanding of Back Office / Trade processing business Experience of working in a high pressure environment alongside business users SQL and data analysis Strong agile project leadership using JIRA and other collaborative tools, with knowledge of design patterns and where and when to apply them.
