This includes end user support of PCs, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices. Works with Infrastructure and Applications teams on application and network troubleshooting and deployment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: • Learns and supports departmental application to provide tier 1 support of any application usage questions • Provides user support on eNet, eCorp and MLO and other supported specialty software applications • Provides escalation point of contact for any application issues and evaluates problem to determines resolution process • Records and escalates any issues not resolvable at tier 1 to tier 2 support team. • Sets up SOS staff on a required applications working together with the Infrastructure and Applications team • Responds to Windows OS, Exchange/Outlook, IE supported applications and other supported software problems • Performs other IT related duties as assigned • Support the roll out of Elections, Corporations and Licensing division initiatives in a reliable and timely manner • Shows persistence and seeks alternatives when obstacles arise; seeks alternative solutions; identifies and involves appropriate internal or external expertise when appropriate; works proactively, addressing things before being forced to by events; accommodates new methods and procedures • Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with users and peers SUPERVISION REQUIREMENTS: 3-5 Minimum Qualifications: • Associates degree in a technical curriculum, or • At least four years of recent relevant experience in an IT or software support experience Preferred Qualifications: • Experienced supporting SharePoint applications • 3 years hardware/software experience in a support capacity • CompTIA A+ and MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional Current certification required – or demonstrated equivalent experience • MCSA – Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator • MCSE – Microsoft • Strong knowledge of desktops, laptops and mobile devices, as well as network equipment • Strong knowledge of MS Office and MS Exchange/Active Directory • Demonstrated problem resolution and task management skills • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong customer service orientation • Must be able to lift 75 pounds • Some travel required (primarily to Macon)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
