The City of Falls Church (“City”) desires to receive proposals from qualified providers of technology infrastructure support, maintenance, security and repair, system software, network infrastructure, audio-visual equipment, telephony systems, and copiers (multifunctional devices) to provide such support services to the City for the General Government and Public Library components and certain network and system functions for the School component. The Services may include, but are not limited to, certain work and tasks for the installation, servicing, maintenance, repair, and related activities for computer and network hardware and peripherals, network and server administration and network management, related software applications and related information technology services, including copiers/multifunctional devices (MFDs), audio-visual, and telephony systems (landline, wireless, broadband, etc.)More specifically, responsibilities will include but not limited to: (1) Hardware and Systems (a) Management of the computer hardware and systems infrastructure, audiovisual equipment, and multi-function machines (b) Monitoring and administration of the network and desktop operating system and network access (c) Business Continuity Planning, related maintenance and management (d) Security design and management (2) DBA Support (a) Coordinate with third-party vendors to include patches, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning and optimization (3) Application support and coordination with third-party vendor and on-site application specialist (a) Change Control (b) Help Desk (c) Other processes required to support the clients and users (4) Network & Administration Support The Contractor will be responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of the following: (a) Network Servers ? Hardware readiness and upgrades ? Operating Software services, upgrades, patches, and security updates. ? Application support (excluding Oracle) ? Network monitoring of all critical processes and services ? Network printing ? Group policy enforcement ? Security ? File sharing security ? Logon security including logon/logoff auditing ?
