The client will be working to upgrade their Product Lifecycle Management System from version 4.1 (on premise) to 8.0 (Cloud). As part of this project, they will be building a new integration database to handle data transactions between PLM 8.0 and existing systems. A large part of the testing responsibilities will be ensuring that all data being fed from PLM to downstream applications remain intact. Role Description: Lead a project QA team to verify that delivered IT systems meet documented project requirements. Coordinate and lead project testing efforts. Lead the development and execution of a Testing Strategy in partnership with the Project Manager and the development of scenarios and test cases. Be responsible for tracking and resolving defects identified during testing, facilitating defect review meetings, publishing regular test status updates, and coordinating schedules and resources to ensure the testing process completes in time for the scheduled implementation. Be comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment, be able to multi-task across several issues simultaneously, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with and interact with technical and non-technical resources alike. Interact with and manage relationships with IT developers, business analysts, and business partners at all levels of the organization. Partner with the Project Manager to develop and execute a Testing Strategy for the project, including a detailed testing schedule. Ensure adherence to clients IT Project Management Methodology, including the use of appropriate processes, tools, and reporting. Partner with the Business Analyst to verify and review testability of documented project requirements. Develop, document, and if needed, execute test scenarios and test cases using the HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) application based on documented project Use Cases. Track and communicate the progress of all phases of testing on a daily basis to the project team and extended project stakeholders. Lead daily defect review meetings. Manage onsite test resource(s). Plan/guide onsite test teams daily tasks/activities. Review their work and deliver quality work to onsite counter parts. Identify, mitigate, communicate out and escalate defects, issues, and risks. Project-Specific Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on testing experience in Retail Industry. Experience with Retail Merchandise System (RMS) is mandatory. Must have strong experience in driving SIT and UAT phases of testing with minimum oversight. General Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, Engineering, or related field (required). 4+ years experience in QA, preferably with a minimum of 2 years as a QA Lead. Ability to lead project team comprised of business and IT associates with strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and negotiation skills with minimal oversight. Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of multi-tasking across several projects or issues. Strong analytical skills with the ability to breakdown and effectively communicate complex business and technical processes, problems, and issues. Strong written and verbal communications skills to facilitate communications between and among highly experienced business and IT associates.
