Candidates must display excellence in all areas. • Proven experience implementing SharePoint 2010 for use with software project management • Demonstrated experience configuring SharePoint 2010 • Keen ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement that may be supported through SharePoint. • Strong understanding of SharePoint 2010 ¬ its strengths, weaknesses and ability to integrate with project management process and other IT systems or tools. • Understanding and experience expanding SharePoint functionality through .NET development. • Understanding of IT development lifecycle processes including development and testing. • Ability to work side-by-side with, mentor, and train clients SharePoint staff/administrators. • Superb written and oral communications skills, including the ability to effectively interact with both managers/senior leadership and software developers/system administrators. • Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations on a continuous basis. Knowledge of healthcare and related insurance principles and processes. Medicaid eligibility system/business operations experience. Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) experience Medicaid operations experience. Public sector and/or academic environment experience is a plus. This position will provide senior level consulting to a software development and operations organization that is working to standardize its project management tracking around Sharepoint 2010. The project team is a broad mix of information technology professionals and is currently engaged in development for mainframe and modern web applications. The team has made limited use of Sharepoint 2007 (primarily as a document repository) and seeks to expand its use of Sharepoint in a broader sense for general project management, tracking and workflow tasks. The project team seeks an experienced consultant that can: 1. Quickly assess the teams needs and recommend a menu of approaches for successful Sharepoint use in project management; 2. Work with team members to implement the selected recommendations; 3. Train the teams Sharepoint administrators while working side-by-side with them; 4. Work with Clemsons infrastructure and operations teams on Sharepoint configuration, deployment, and best practices if/as needed. DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: The SharePoint Consultant is responsible for assessing, recommending, and implementing best practices for the use of SharePoint as an enterprise project management tool for a health and human services organization with an emphasis on its software development efforts. The consultant will work with the organizations managers/senior leaders and its developers/system administrators to enhance its SharePoint implementation. Furthermore, the SharePoint consultant will work with side-by-side with the clients existing SharePoint administrators and .NET developers as a mentor and trainer.
