Job Description :

Senior Middleware Admin


Responsibilities.

· Design MQ/MB/IIB Infrastructure Architecture to Implement Middleware Platform for ASO Enterprise and Omni-channel/ECOM Applications.

· Implemented High Availability MQ and MB/IIB (Active/Standby) infrastructure in AIX, Linux OS.

· Migrated ECOM from MQ (v6.x),MB (v6.x) to MQ(v7.5),MB(v8.x)

· Migrated Enterprise PCI/Non-PCI environment from MQ (v7.5) to MQ v(8.x) and MB (v8.0) to IIB (v10.x)

· Migrated Warehouse Management iSeries server from MQ (v6.x) to MQ (v8.x)

· Designed MQ Cluster architecture and SSL security implementation for POS (Trickle Sales/Credit Card) type of interfaces.

· Provide Port, Firewall, Network configuration Solution to support Middleware.

· Provide Hands-On Implementation work to deliver Middleware Platforms.

· Tune, scale, capacity plan Middleware environment to Support growing business needs. Like plan for performance tuning and setup for messaging performance especially during PEAK Season or Holiday Special PROMO events of RETAIL life cycle.

· Automation & roll outs of Fix Packs and maintenance for MQ/MB servers to save manual intervention.

· Train, Mentor and support In-house and partner resources for

· Integration of LDAP (Novell eDirectory), Active Directory with MQ and MB/IIB Security for Administration, Developer/Support teams and defining roles etc.

· Participate in WMQ/WMB Environment Design & Architecture discussions and make recommendations keeping best practices, future enhancements in projects OR growth of the organization in mind.

· Determining compliance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Enterprise Application Integration Interfaces and translate it into Incident Priority Tickets in (ServiceNow tool).

· Identify complexity of Admin tasks as per the project requirements and create technical implementation plans by doing Proof of Concepts wherever needed.

· Device an end-to-end testing plan with respective Integration Application teams and Infrastructure System Admins.

· Provide assistance by creating automation jobs for various maintenance activities within Organization like OS patch updates, Environment Data Refresh from PROD to lower environments, SOX compliance activities apart from regular backups and application patch upgrades for upkeep of Application System Servers.

· Assist and Mentor the team for technical challenges while implementing Admin tasks.

· Provide L2/L3 Level support and on-call rotation 24x7 for PROD activities.

· Open IBM Problem Management Request and follow through with the Vendor for any abnormal issues on Server/Application end.

· Create standard best practices and knowledge base documentation for Administrative tasks, Production Support and Maintenance tasks within the underlying architecture setup here in ASO.

· Install and configure WebSphere MB 8.0, IIB 10.0.

· Created and administer Execution Groups, Message flows. Deploy BAR files and provide authorizations to broker objects accordingly.

· Setup Web Services (HTTP(s) SOAP, REST) between Client and MQ/MB infrastructure communication using NetScaler as (Load Balancer/firewall setup).

· Setup Broker SSL for HTTPS secure based Web Services communication.

· Install and Configure WebSphere MQ 7.5, MQ 8.0 on AIX, Windows, AS400 and Red Hat Linux

· Creating Queue managers and other MQ objects in CLUSTER, Pub/Sub environment for MQ Infrastructure.

· Setting up ACLs for MQ queues, Queue managers and channels through the use of commands.

· Setup and configure Triggers in MQ for T-LOG, RTLOG for Stores and other Warehouse (DC) applications.

· Implemented High Availability MQ and MB/IIB infrastructure
