This programmer will analyze the requirements of the tasks involved to produce the school AYP ratings. Using SAS the programmer will code and execute all computer programs needed to produce the final ratings. This programmer will also work with the Applications Analyst responsible for delivering the AYP results to the Office of State and Federal Accountability for preparation of the final reports in July. This programmer and the Applications Analyst will agree on the appropriate file format to be used for delivery to the AYP database application. The programmer will also write detailed documentation describing all steps and all programs used to generate the file files. I wish to have this programmer in place by early June. Multiple years experience with SAS programming is required. !] Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require an associates degree in a related area and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
