Description:

Responsibilities

The Senior SAS Analyst contractor will join the clients Data Management and Analytics team. This position will play an integral role in developing and implementing reports and data analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing on-going reports in a timely and professional manner.
Identify, recommend and develop new efficient data solutions by streamlining business processes.
Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that will provide efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with team and key stake holders
Working independently on Ad Hoc requests reporting results
Interacting with business stakeholders.
Bachelors degree with 8+ years of experience in advanced SAS programming.
Minimum 2 year of experience in financial services. Experience in investment banking, consulting, or insurance is preferred.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Visio) is required.
Experience with SQL and relational database is required.
4+ of Data Analysis experience is required.
Demonstrated skill and effectiveness partnering with on-site and off-site teams to learn business needs and provide reporting.
Strong analytical and problem solving skill set.
Highly motivated, energetic, results-oriented, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently. Flexible and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Professional competences

Requirements:

8+ years of SAS experience (Advanced SAS/Macros)
Experience with MS Excel/Visio/Access
Data Analysis/Data Mapping
Knowledge of Life Insurance business (Preferred)
Fast learner and ability to work independently.
