Description: Position Summary: The Global Trade System (GTS) Business Analyst will work alongside Ropaar Integration Consultants and the Smithfield Export Business team to assist with GTS business process design and system testing. This person will assist the business to define or update, and document, export business processes vis-à-vis GTS implementation with an eye to business process improvement. The business process work will support training content development and SOP creation. In addition, this role will plan and facilitate integration and business system testing for the GTS project across Smithfield the export functional ecosystem, including multiple external partners (including the USDA/PHIS), Smithfield distribution facilities and 3PLs. Work includes guiding the business to develop user stories, test scenarios and test scripts, and managing Integration and UAT testing. This person will ensure testing is completed timely, defects are logged with sufficient detail and retesting of defects are retested to ensure overall testing and system acceptance adheres to the project timeline. Key Accountabilities: Review functional design specifications Work with business to document and improve export business processes. Assist Training Manager and GTS Solution Architect to develop training content and SOPs. Coordinate with Project Manager, GTS Solution Architect and Business Lead to develop system test plans, scenarios, scripts and data Coordinate and manage all functional testing cycles for project implementation. Assign test plans in HP ALM according to schedules for testers to complete. Coordinate with the Service Delivery Manager/AMS/project support to ensure defects are resolved timely and retested on schedule Escalate changes (out of scope) items as a result of testing through appropriate process Coordinate/escalate resource constraints with project team leadership and operations leadership to ensure testing schedule is adhered to and timeline on track Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year, accredited college or university required Broad knowledge of SAP GTS and OTC (ECC) product/ export systems In-depth (5+ years) coordinating and leading Integration and User Acceptance Testing across multi-functional landscape. Experience with testing tools; HP ALM preferred Comfortable communicating difficult messages to all levels of the organization to ensure schedule compliance Well versed with MS Office applications including MS Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently required Must be able to travel 25% of the time, dependent on project needs Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations Problem solving and root cause identification skills Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle Assigned Project: Export Management - USDA PHIS (GTS) Primary Location: Kansas City Desired Start Date: 7/22/2019 Planned End Date; 12/31/2019   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
